What you’ll get out of this career course

Welcome to your Career Exploration course!

Whether you’re just starting to think about your future or already have a few ideas in mind, this course will help you see what work really looks like and what might be right for you.

In this course, you’ll:

  • Hear from real professionals sharing honest stories about their paths, challenges, and advice.

  • Learn key career terms and ideas to help you talk about jobs and education with confidence.

  • Reflect on your interests and strengths to find what kinds of work and environments might fit you best.

  • Connect education to opportunity by understanding how degrees, certificates, and experiences can shape your path.

  • Build future-ready skills, like how to network and what that means, pursue and compare opportunities, and more.

You don’t need to know your dream job yet! This course is about exploring and discovering. Each video, article, and reflection is here to make the world of work feel a little more real and a lot more reachable.

By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction, the confidence, and language to take your next step - whether that’s choosing a major, applying for an internship, or talking with a professional.

Why does this course matter? The average person spends most of their life working, so it’s important to think about how you want to spend this time and how it can impact your life. Take a look at the following image. What do you notice about the amount of time we spend working on average around the world?
