Let's construct a congruent line segment using a compass and a straightedge. All radii of a given circle are congruent, so we can use the compass to mark possible endpoints for a congruent line segment.

We can construct congruent angles with a compass and straight edge. They're congruent corresponding angles of congruent triangles.
