How can we reconstruct the evolution of species across islands?
In this hands-on activity, students will construct and compare phylogenetic trees to investigate the evolutionary relationships among *Gallotia* lizards in the Canary Islands. They will analyze geographic, morphological, and genetic data to investigate how these species evolved and spread across the islands, and compare their findings to models used by scientists.
